Sometimes for whatever reason, a baby can't get in at 2-3 weeks for their newborn session. We are still able to get some wonderful photos at older ages. They won't always be exactly like the curled up newborn photos you are used to seeing, but you would be surprised at what we can accomplish. Little Dez here was a few days shy of 3 months when he came in for his photos. His mom just loved that I had a Starbucks apron, so we had to get a shot in that. He looks like a little Starbucks CEO here. lol

Sydney Maternity Session | Greenfield, IN


I have tons of senior and newborn sessions I need to post on here. It feels like there is never enough time! However, I haven't spoken much about maternity sessions. The reason is, I only book maternity sessions for my newborn clients. It's a special thing I do only for them! And did you know a maternity session is only a $50 add on to your newborn session when you book them together? Here is a fun one I did this past week. Before Syndey's session I asked her what her pregnancy cravings were. This is what she said ... chocolate milk shakes and fruity pebbles with marshmallows! So I got her some of both and we had some fun with them! As a mom of 4 almost grown babies, there's a good chance you will forget what your cravings were. This will always be a fun memory!



Every momma needs a shot like this. Pregnancy is so beautiful.

Newborn Studio Renovation


Shawna Marie Photography's newborn studio has a whole new look! It will now be much easier for you to view and choose props and relax out of the way while your newborn is being photographed. Take a look and then be sure to give us a call or email and book your session!




Parents this area is for you! A nice place to sit back and relax, or even take a nap while we work our magic! And a fully stocked changing table for your little one as well. Be sure to help yourself to diapers, wipes, lotion and diaper rash cream.



Don't forget to flip through our albums and magazines to think about what you might want to do with your own photos!



There are many color schemes and hats, headbands, outfits and wraps to make your session reflect your style, and lots of props to choose from as well.



And of course the 2 areas where the magic happens! We shoot the props with different drops and floors, and over to the right is our posing table for those sweet simple wrapped and natural baby poses.



2022 Newborn sessions are booking quickly. I highly recommend booking around 20 weeks to ensure that you have a spot. However, if you have had your baby and you are just now looking, don't hesitate to call and check. I save spots for the spontaneity of newborn births, so occasionally I will have last minute spots available.
