This week I'm taking a quick break from posting my seniors to talk a little more about my newborns! I have been up at Hancock Health for 2 months now, and I am having a blast! I just love getting to snuggle on all the new babies. Seriously, BEST.JOB.EVER.  Here's the thing. I am getting a lot of new mommas and dads too, who are opting not to be in the photos because they "Don't look good enough" Don't be that person! Seriously, you just had a baby! No one expects you to look like a super model. You can't get these memories back. Not everyone has to see them, but you and your little one will be SO glad you're in the photos someday! If you're breast feeding (or not!) we can take feeding photos, we can just take photos of you holding your little one, we can use your hands, have you in the background kind of blurred out etc ... but be present! You won't regret it! I have found in the past weeks as I've pushed it just a tiny bit more, when I look at the galleries, guess which photos moms and dads are favoriting? You got it! The ones they are in! These aren't meant to be glamour shots! These are REAL LIFE. These are minutes and memories that will fade very quickly. These photos will be all you have left as your baby grows and changes in the weeks and months to come. So, moms and dads, even if you haven't showered or put on makeup or brushed your hair ... it's ok. Let's just show that sweet baby how in love you were from the very first moment. :)

I can't get enough of newborn shoots! I have so many I need to add to the blog! Here is little Mr. Payton! He is such a cutie! You just want to pinch his adorable little cheeks :)

 

In the midst of the many seniors I have been shooting lately, I have had some newborns as well! I'm a little behind blogging my newborns as I got super crazy wrapped up in Senior sessions this past Fall. I loved this session. I love all newborn sessions! This little girl was sleepy and easy to shoot. We got to use a lot of different poses and props :) Here are some of my favorites! Don't miss the one where she is peeing down her daddy's arms. lol!

I have had the pleasure of working with this family a couple of times. I did Miss Delainey's newborn photos 2 years ago, and they brought her and her newborn baby sis, Ellerie, for photos this time. We did Ellerie's newborn photos and a couple of photos for Delainey's 2 year pictures. They are such adorable little girls. I had a great time with them :)

Meet baby Benjamin. He was born on Halloween, which means we most definitely did get a costume shot, and since Christmas was right around the corner, we were able to get photographs for his first Christmas cards as well. We had a lot of fun, and don't you just love the "Got Milk" pics? He made the cutest little Santa!

This little guy was the first New Years baby at his hospital and my first newborn of the year 2012. He was such an adorable little guy with a wonderful family! I had such a great time photographing him! How can you not want to squeeze this cuteness?

 

I am behind on blogging sessions. A few coming up! This is sweet little Sophia. Isn't she a doll?

Little Mason arrived on April 15th. Things have been a complete whirlwind since then! We closed on a new house the day after he was born and have spent the last 3 weeks packing, cleaning, painting (well hubby and some family did that... can't say that I did. ha) and unpacking. I did make sure I took the time to get a few photos though! These were taken when he was one week old.

As far as the biz, I am on maternity leave until the middle of June, but then I will be back at it! 2011 seniors, it's time to start thinking about booking your sessions before I fill up! I have had a lot of last minute calls for 2010 seniors this spring and have had to turn a lot of them away unfortunately, so schedule those sessions ASAP!

Now for the photos of our newest arrival ... Mason Jeremy Born April 15th, 7lbs 3oz and 20 inches long :)

I am officially off of maternity leave and ready for the senior season. Seniors, you need to book now in order to be guaranteed a session! My weekend appointments for late summer and fall fill VERY quickly.

Had this little Gem in my home studio last week. She was so very cooperative and slept AMAZING for me as I switched her from prop to prop. Gotta love it when they make your job so easy!

Had a newborn session this afternoon so before I get back to wedding pics, I wanted to put up a sneak peek! She was such a sweet baby and SO cooperative! I had a lot of fun and can't wait to edit the rest of her pictures:)
